For many years I have raised exotic birds and in particular always they have been fascinated from the great family of the african seeds eating, characterized from small dimension of the subjects and that eat mostly seeds and in particular all the species that come from the African continent.

When spoken about Africa, imagined immediately the warmth savane or the terrible deserts is ; in truth the African continent is so immense to contain a myriad of various habitats that not necessarily are extremely warm. In the Africans plateaus the medium temperature is little advanced to the 20°C and the nights can be particularly cold.

For this reason, nearly all the Africans birds, if carefully acclimatized and protect from intense ices, they can resist and to breed to our climates.

Sure, a temperature around to the 20°C represents the ideal, but to the occurrence the breeder can lodge the birds in conditions very more extreme.

The Africans seed eating are extremely attractive birds for the shapes and the colors; perennially in motion they attract the attention of the neophyte who acquires them without before to ask if same
if it will make living they in the best conditions or to wil make breed.

In truth, these birds, apparently domestic and peasant, need of particular cures and, in the greater part of the cases, they are not therefore tilts to breed as their colleagues, the Australian diamonds.

Every pair needs of particular cures in the feeding and the living conditions.

Some pair can coexist in the optimal conditions also for years without breedi, and unexpected then to begin to place one brooded behind the other.

If they are not been born in captivity need of big containers, quiet and suitable conditions to their style of life.
